Now former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson

It’s 2018 and “ghosting” someone you were in a relationship with? That’s so last year.

Now it’s all about Tillerson-ing people. The term, which is admittedly a real mouthful, was coined Tuesday in the wake of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson learning he was out of a job via Donald Trump’s tweets. The good folks on Twitter have turned his misfortune into a verb that perfectly describes so many of our dating woes.

People have been sharing stories of the time they ended a relationship via social media or uh, non-traditional means.

You’ve probably been Tillerson-ed. Or you may have even Tillerson-ed someone without realizing that you were Tillerson-ing people. Yikes.

Still, it’s better than being Omarosa’d, I suppose.
