The documentaries of David Attenborough have been delighting the UK for decades.

But in with the wonder of nature, the BBC likes to mix a healthy dose of horror.

Along with adorable fishies and turtles, this Sunday’s Blue Planet II featured a creature straight out of your nightmares.

Enter the bobbit worm.

One. Metre. Long.

The sea is basically full of sci-fi horrors.

As well as being pretty freaked out by the Bobbit in general, many were puzzled by its name.

Well the internet asked, and the internet answered.
