It’s the little things that can mean the most.

Whether it’s a sign thanking first responders or a reminder to treat each other kindly, posters going up throughout Northern California’s wine country are giving a small dose of support to those reeling from the firestorm.

The area north of San Francisco has been ravaged by flames, which have killed more than 20 people since Sunday night. One of the fires in Napa County burned more than 40,000 acres. Another nearby fire, the Tubbs Fire in the heart of wine country, killed 11 people, making it the sixth most deadly fire in the state’s history, according to state fire officials.

At least 3,500 homes and businesses, including wineries, were lost.

But despite the bleak numbers and charred landscape, tiny moments of hope and love made it through.

Signs and posters and thoughts and prayers are all beautiful ways to help, but those wanting to help in other ways can donate to affected communities or get more involved if nearby. Local news outlet 7×7 has compiled a list of places, organizations, and websites to help the burned community.

Stay #WineCountryStrong.
