Cue the mood lighting.

A Kickstarter project wants to ensure that you never have to choose between aesthetics and the environment again. Meet the Smart Solar Garden, a dreamy combination of green technology and customizable lighting that needs its own HGTV segment.

The lights of the Smart Solar Garden come in the form of glowing lanterns that are powered by the sun. They can be fully charged with 12-16 hours of direct sunlight or 1-2 hours of magnetic USB input, so messing with outlets and extension cords won’t be an issue.

Not only do the lanterns operate on solar power, but are also bluetooth and app-integrated so you can use your phone to control the color, brightness, and timing of the lanterns and adjust it to fit the mood or time of day accordingly.

The collection comes in two different models. One is Star, with warm and cool white LED lights perfect for post-sunset illumination. Check it out?

Versatile hanging with magnetic cables and waterproof exterior.

Then there’s Gem, with multi-color and white LEDs controlled using the app:

Stackable, collapsable, and they can float.

The best part about this campaign though is that for every Kickstarter pledge, LuminAID will donate a solar lantern to a family living without electricity due to the hurricane damage this fall.

Shipping starts in June 2018. Back the campaign and get the early bird prices here.
