Millie Bobby Brown reps March For Our Lives at Kids’ Choice Awards
Millie Bobby Brown, your favorite actor from the hit Netflix show Stranger Things, backed March For Our Lives in a big way at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday.
She showed up to the event in a denim button-down shirt bearing the names of the 17 people who died in the Parkland, Florida mass shooting last month. The shirt was also emblazoned with the words “March For Our Lives” on the back and “Never Again” on the front.
When she won the award for Favorite TV Actress, Brown took her support a step further and talked about feeling inspired by gun reform protests that took place in Washington, D.C., and in cities across the country and world.
“The March For Our Lives demonstrations that took place all over the world today have inspired me and impacted us all in one way or another,” she said.
“I’m fortunate to be here tonight to receive an award as an actor … I get to be up here, and I’m privileged to have a voice that can be heard, one that I can use to hopefully make a positive difference and help influence change.”
Brown had also earlier posted her support for March for Our Lives on Instagram.
“March For Our Lives is an opportunity for us all to stand in solidarity against gun violence,” she wrote. “No more fear, no more hurt, no more shootings, no more GUNS. To everyone participating in tomorrow’s March all over the country, you have my love, support, strength and encouragement!”
