Meryl Streep’s strong reaction at the tennis is totally going to be a meme

Meryl Streep’s strong reaction at the tennis is totally going to be a meme

Meryl Streep, celebrated actor, meme queen, and unabashed tennis tragic, has pulled out another highly GIF-able moment.

Streep was courtside at the gruelling U.S. Open final between Novak Djokovic and Juan Martín del Potro on Sunday, which inevitably meant the camera was going to fall on her at some point.

Fortunately, the multiple award-winning Streep is really good at throwing some dramatic faces on cue, like when del Potro won a nail-biting, 16-shot point in the second set.

It’s a mixture of amazement and sheer disbelief, and it’s excellent.

There was a particularly delightful moment when commentators began talking about Streep on air. You bet she was listening.

All praise the meme queen.
