Linkin Park announce concert in honor of Chester Bennington

After the death of Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington in July, the band will come together for a one-night tribute performance on Oct. 27.

Proceeds from the concert will go to the One More Light Fund in Bennington’s honor.

In addition to the concert announcement, Linkin Park released a video for “One More Light,” off their most recent album of the same name. The video was directed by band member Joe Hahn and put together by videographer Mark Fiore. It’s an emotional compilation, with clips of Bennington performing to adoring fans around the world and behind the scenes with his band mates over the years.

“It has been incredibly emotional to work on this, and especially to watch it,” Hahn said in a press release. “I feel that by doing it, we not only faced some of our biggest fears, but it enabled us to use our talents to bring some light to people who need it. As we move forward to the Hollywood Bowl show and beyond, I think about the people who connect with the band, outside and inside our circle. This video is a gesture of good will to the people who want that connection.”

After “One More Light” fades to black, the video changes into a message.

You ignited a flame of passion, laughter & courage in our hearts forever.
We miss you, brother.
– Joe, Mike, Brad, Dave & Rob

Tickets for the one-night-only Linkin Park event, featuring other bands and artists, go on pre-sale Sept. 19 and general sale Sept. 22.
