Land yourself a job at Jaguar if you manage to crack Gorillaz’s app
If you’re thinking of getting a job at Jaguar, your best bet right now might be through virtual band Gorillaz.
The unlikely collaboration will see the British car manufacturer using the Gorillaz’s mixed reality app as a recruitment tool for new hires.
And there are 5,000 positions up for grabs.
Potential applicants will have to complete two challenges on the app.
They first have to assemble the Jaguar I-PACE Concept, the company’s upcoming electric sports car.
The second part involves solving a series of code breaking puzzles.
Here’s a peek into what you’ll experience if you decide to step up to the job:
Jaguar is looking to employ 1,000 people in the field of electronic and software engineering, and 4,000 workers across other sectors.
Most of the jobs will be based in the UK.
“As the automotive industry transforms over the next decade, fuelled by software innovation, we have to attract the best talent and that requires a radical rethink of how we recruit,” said Alex Heslop, Head of Electrical Engineering at Jaguar Land Rover in a statement.
“Here, we’ve found an engaging way to recruit a diverse talent pool. It will be the first of its kind.”
The app is available on both iOS and Android — you can thank us after you’ve got the job.
