Jay-Z’s debut album has been turned into an Urban Outfitters capsule collection
Jay-Z’s iconic debut album Reasonable Doubt is the inspiration behind a new capsule collection from Urban Outfitters.
Taking cues from the 1996 album released by Roc-A-Fella Records and Priority Records, the relatively small collection features t-shirts, hoodies, a beanie and hat, emblazoned with track listings, lyrics and the album’s front cover.
The pieces are priced $29 for tees to $64 for hoodies, which is one of the more reasonable price points we’ve seen from Urban Outfitters (lookin’ at you, $45 AOL tee).
The best part of the collection is yet to come, however. According to an Instagram post by Roc-A-Fella co-founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke, a limited edition bomber jacket is coming soon, with just 196 jackets for sale, and the price yet to be announced. Burke, according to Complex, is behind the collaboration, not Jay-Z himself.
Jay-Z celebrated the 20th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt on June 25, 2016, so you could say the collection is a little late. But that bomber jacket’s making us forget about dates.
