How to watch Ariana Grande’s Manchester benefit concert
Ariana Grande is returning to Manchester to perform a benefit concert less than two weeks after a deadly attack took place at her UK concert. For fans who are unable to attend, don’t worry, you can still watch her performance all around the world.
After the May 22 explosion left 22 dead and 59 injured in Manchester, the world showed an outpouring of support for the singer, victims, and families impacted by the tragic incident. Grande posted an emotional apology to fans and vowed she would return to the city to perform again and raise money for those affected, declaring “We won’t let hate win.”
Now, Grande is delivering her promise. On Sunday, June 4, Grande will perform a tribute concert titled One Love Manchester at the Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester with fellow artists including Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Niall Horan, Miley Cyrus, Usher, and Pharrell. The ground holds 50,000 people, but if you aren’t able to make the big event, here’s how to watch from home:
One Love Manchester will get TV coverage in America and internationally, so it will be easy to tune in from all over the world.
According to Variety, ABC will be airing the event in the U.S. on the Freeform cable channel, along with a one-hour highlights show. The concert will also air on ABC stations after the NBA finals.
BBC will also be heavily covering the event, which will start at 7:15 p.m. BST through its television and radio platforms. BBC Worldwide is scheduled to broadcast the concert in 38 countries already so far.
The show will also be shown by “Tencent in China, Globosat in Brazil, TF1’s TMC channel in France, Rai in Italy, pubcasters SVT in Sweden and NRK in Norway,” according to Variety.
Australia viewers can tune into free TV network Nine and cable service UKTV, and Canadians can tune into the Bell, CTV, or Much stations.
Variety also reported numerous streaming services for various TV networks will show the event around the world, including SVT Play and Finland’s YLE Areena. Hong Kong’s Viu and Taiwan’s KKBOX will show the concert.
