Democrats Introduce Bill for Stopping Automated Grinch Bots from Ruining Xmas

As detailed in a press release published on the official website of New Mexico Democrat Senator Tom Udall, a new bicameral bill was introduced by Democratic senators Udall, Blumenthal, Schumer & Tonko to “block cyber grinches stealing Christmas.”

“The Stopping Grinch Bots Act of 2018” was introduced by the four Dems on November 23 and it is designed to stop entities using automated bots from snatching up all holiday promotional items as soon as they go live.

“Bots are software programs that can automatically spot and snap up inventory offered for sale online. In a matter of seconds, third-party vendors can purchase hundreds of items, squeezing out parents and children,” says the press release.
