‘Breath of the Wild’ mod finally makes Zelda the star

‘Breath of the Wild’ mod finally makes Zelda the star

We all want to play as Zelda in a Legend of Zelda game but Nintendo has yet to make that happen. So a group of modders took matters into their own hands and made Zelda the star of Breath of the Wild.

The Zelda Conversion Project has been hard at work changing the protagonist of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild into the titular Zelda, a feat that has recently caught the internet’s attention.

Just look at how perfect and natural Zelda is in the role of the hero:

Via the YouTube channel Trollsquad57, members of the Zelda Conversion Project have been periodically showing updates on the mod and showing off cool new clips, including a whole bunch of new clothing sets designed specifically for the princess.

The Snowquill set that protects against cold temperatures looks amazing and matches Zelda’s horse perfectly.

According to Kotaku, the Zelda Conversion Project started with two modders whose work caught the attention of more and more people who wanted to get in on it. Now the teams has grown to 20 people strong.

You can check out more of their work on their YouTube channel, which has over a dozen videos of the Zelda mod and other Breath of the Wild mods.

At this point, the team isn’t announcing a release date for the mod, which would be available for Wii U and the CEMU emulator, and later the Nintendo Switch, but it will be coming eventually.
