Artist masterfully inserts ‘The Simpsons’ characters into real life

Artist Francois Dourlen has been tipping his cap to The Simpsons on Instagram by inserting the show’s characters into non-animated situations.

Marge smiling from a flower bush, Moe mixing a cocktail likely fancier than a Flaming Moe — they’re all lurking in the real world and Dourlen wants to help you spot them.

The Simpsons is a timeless American classic that seems to be enjoying somewhat of a renaissance among its core fanbase.

Beyond Dourlen’s clever work, there is a Facebook group committed to shitposting, which recontextualizes the show’s best old jokes into new and fresh material. And there are dozens of Instagram and Twitter accounts dedicated to the show’s underrated intricacies, such as its cuisine, and its scenic views.
